21 weeks

22 weeks

23 weeks

How far along?  23 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: about 13 pounds
Sleep:  Good
Best moment this week: I have felt more and more movement each day and I love it!  Everytime I feel her move I can't help but put my hand on my stomach and smile.  Also, I am noticeably pregnant now and not just looking fat :)
Movement: Yes, as I said above, more and more each day and you can feel it from the outside too.  I try to get Sean to feel her when he is sitting with me, but she likes to stop moving when he comes over.  He has felt her move about half a dozen times so far though...and he still thinks it's really weird!
Symptoms: My belly just keeps growing, I'm getting more and more tired
Food cravings:  Nothing I really HAVE TO HAVE but icecream has been something I want more than normal lately.
Food aversions: Anything tangy makes me feel sick like bbq sauce and ketchup
Gender:  Girl
Labor Signs:  Nope
Belly Button in or out?  In, but it's starting to go out a little.
What I miss: Wishing I didn't want to go to bed by 10 everynight.
What I am looking forward to: The guys are coming Tue to look at the water damage to the house again and will hopefully start working on it soon!  As soon as they are done upstairs we can work on the nursery
Milestones:  I have started pregnant to people who didn't know I was pregnant.

21 weeks

How far along?  21 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: about 11 pounds
Sleep:  Good
Best moment this week:  Finding out we are having a girl!  I cried the moment the ultrasound started..and cried even more when they said it was a little girl growing in there :)  They said she is about 5 days smaller than would be expected for 20 weeks, so she may be a few days late.  Other than that, she looks 100% healthy!
Movement: Yes, she is starting to move more each day.  Sean has even been able to feel her moving and I think it freaks him out.  The 2x he has felt her move he jumps away when she moves.
Symptoms: Hungry and starting to notice my stomach is bigger and I get worn out easier.
Food cravings:  Nothing special.
Food aversions: None
Gender:  Girl
Labor Signs:  Nope
Belly Button in or out?  In, but it's starting to go out a little.
What I miss: Really wish I could have a glass of wine and sushi on some days.
What I am looking forward to: Kayla was not cooperative for a few pictures on the ultrasound so we get to go back and have another one next month!  She would not show us her face or bladder.
Milestones:  Finding out the gender and we went shopping for a coming home outfit and also found a great deal on a dress for Kayla for Christmas.  We couldn't pass it up at $10 for a $42 dress!  We know it's only May but that's ok :)

How far along?  20 weeks 1 day
Total weight gain/loss: about 9 pounds
Sleep:  OK, but starting to get tired of having to sleep on my side.  My ribs have started hurting.
Best moment this week: Feeling the baby move last Thursday and really knowing it was the baby and not just bubbles in my stomach
Movement: Yes once or twice a day I usually feel a few pokes
Symptoms: Still hungry all the time and my ribs felt like they were being ripped apart last week and it was very painful.  Luckily that only lasted for 2 days.
Food cravings:  Nothing special.
Food aversions: None
Gender:  We find out Thursday!
Labor Signs:  Nope
Belly Button in or out?  In, although my belly is getting bigger.
What I miss: fitting into my normal clothes.  I'm wearing all maternity pants now, but most of my shirts can still fit.
What I am looking forward to: Our anatomy scan on the 26th.
Milestones:  Feeling the baby move for the first time

Week 17

It's been awhile since I have updated the blog.  Things have been great the last few weeks.  Sean and I have heard the baby's heartbeat at my last 2 appointments and that was one of the greatest moments of the pregnancy so far (besides the ultrasound).  We go back May 26th for the anatomy scan.  We can't wait..it's going to be a long 3 weeks of anxiously waiting!  We have been working on the house trying to get things in order for the baby.  Our new roof has been put on, we have cleaned out the office a bit and now we are just saving up more money so we can repair the water damage from the winter.  We hope in the next month we will start working on the nursery.  I will try to be better about updating the blog on a weekly basis!  I think this survey below will be a good way to quickly update when there is little time.

How far along?  17w 6 days
Total weight gain/loss: about 4 pounds
Sleep:  Sleep ok most nights, wake up around 6 thanks to the puppies being on a schedule and wanting to go out at that time every morning!
Best moment this week:  hmmm I had some good dreams this week.  One dream was that I had twin girls, and last night I dreamt that I felt the baby moving.
Movement: I dreamt I felt the baby moving, but no real noticable movement yet.  Any movements I feel now I chalk up to gas bubbles etc in my stomach, although some of it very well could be the baby moving.
Symptoms: Hungry all the time!
Food cravings:  Anything I can eat!  It really changes based on the day/time of day.
Food aversions: None
Gender:  I want it to be a girl and Sean wants a boy. We will be happy either way as long as the baby is healthy.
Labor Signs:  Fortunately not and hopefully not for at least 20 more weeks!
Belly Button in or out?  In, not much has changed since I got pregnant...just look like I have a little belly now.
What I miss: Having a glass of wine whenever I want and having sushi!  Not having to worry so much about fixing up the house and trying to save money at the same time.
What I am looking forward to: Our anatomy scan on the 26th.
Milestones:  I guess tomorrow is sort of my first mother's day!

 Week 5

 Week 6

 Week 7

Week 8

Week 8

I had my first appointment with the midwife this past week.  Everything looks good.  I had no issues with the blood that was drawn at my first appointment with the nurse.  The Dr. felt around and said my uterus is measuring around 8 weeks and that i have wide hips/pelvis so it shouldn't be a problem to get a baby out.  We go back on Wed. for our first ultrasound just to make sure everything looks good and that the expected due date is correct.  We are so excited to be able to see what's going on in there and have some pictures.  I think once we are able to see this it will seem more real.

I still haven't had many symptoms.  I feel nauseous every once in awhile, feel hungry and tired all the time, and my back is sore, but other than that I feel pretty good still.  I am counting my blessings that I am not experiencing worse morning sickness yet, but who knows when it could creep up on me.  I have been taking weekly pictures of my bump or lack there of for the time being.  Today I thought I looked a little fat and asked Sean about it....he said jokingly that I must be eating too much pizza and be getting fat...haha  I can't help it I am hungry all the time!!

Week 7

I have had some more symptoms in the past week.  Last week I started occasionally feeling nauseous, but have not gotten sick and have still been able to eat pretty normally.  My face has also been breaking out in zits like crazy.  I have been craving anything with cheese on it lately!  Other than these few things, not much has changed since last week.
I have a Dr. appt on Friday for an exam and to go over my blood test results.  Hope everything turns out good!

Week 6

Today is the begining of week 6 of being pregnant.  I have been feeling pretty good.  I haven't had too many symptoms yet.  Some headaches, peeing more frequently, an increased appetite, and my boobs are growing, but other than that I'm not feeling too bad.  I have heard morning sickness tends to start in weeks 6 or 7 so I'm just eating whenever I feel hungry right now.

I had my first appointment with the nurse practitioner on Friday, Feb. 11.  They took lots of blood and talked to me about being pregnant and gave me information on the do's and don'ts etc.  I have my next appointment with the midwife on Feb. 25th.

Tonight we are going to dinner for Valentine's day with Steph and Ross tonight and plan to tell them the news.  We have seen them a few times since we found out we are pregnant, but didn't want to tell them before telling my parents.  I'm sure they will be happy for us, but I have a feeling Steph will have baby fever even more than ever....It would be nice to be pregnant at the same time as a close friend.

The begining

I guess we should start at the begining of our story....the day we met.
It was May 11, 2009, we were on the Carnival Triumph cruise ship and I was with my best friend Stephanie and Sean was with his friends and their family.  I had been on a website chatboard for people to talk before cruising and we had organized a happy hour to meet everyone in person on the ship.  Sean just happened to be at this happy hour with his group of friends.  From that day we were pretty much inseperable.  By the time we left the boat, we weren't sure what the future held.  We exchanged phone # and the minute we disembarked from the ship, I texted Sean.  We continued to talk and text for hours a day.

Finally in June, Sean and his friend Josh made the road trip from OK to CT to visit me.  I then went down to meet Sean's family over the 4th of July weekend.  Soon after, Sean had made the decision to relocate to CT to be with me.  About 3 months later we got engaged and began planning our wedding.  We were married on July 23, 2010, one of the best days of my life!  A little over 6 months after getting married, on February 3, 2011 we found out we were pregnant!
